Performance Evaluation
NAVFIT98A v33 Patch 2 (v332) - Overview
The Navy Performance Evaluation System (NAVFIT98A) is a software application that helps users create, store, organize, and print Navy officer fitness reports, chief evaluations, and enlisted evaluations. This application has been updated with new policy and supporting software. The latest changes in Patch 2 primarily address some pagination discrepancies between the onscreen version and printed reports that were causing carriage returns and data truncations in the remark’s blocks. It also allows for validation of reports rule changes to allow for certain senior personnel to have more than 15 months between reports. System administrators (not individual users) of afloat command networks and command networks that do not provide the NAVFIT98A v33 software by some other official means (e.g., NMCI, NVD, etc.) should download the software.
NAVFIT98A v33 Patch 2 (v332) - Download
NAVFIT98A v33 Patch 2 (v332) commenced deployment across various Navy networks and platforms on 8/28. Upon deployment, the discovery was made that the software did not correctly convert previous versions of existing NAVFIT98A databases to the format needed by this version. A stand-alone lightweight conversion utility that is not apart of the software itself is being made available to help users convert prior versions of NAVFIT98A v33 data into a format readable by version 33 patch 2. Once converted using the tool, only the Reporting Senior Address on Officer FitReps and Enlisted (E1-E6) Evals will need to be manually input.
- NAVFIT98A v33 Patch 2 (v332) Database Conversion Tool – Used to convert existing NAVFIT98A v33 database files into a format readable by the NAVFIT98A v33 Patch 2 (v332) software released 8/28/2026. This stand-alone utility utilized MS Access to perform the conversion and should work on any database created by NAVFIT98A v33. The patch prepopulates the new database name with "._v33p2.accdb" at the end but allows the user to change the location and filename to whatever they want. After converting the file, one simply opens the newly created file with the NAVFIT98A v33 Patch 2 version of the software. The original v33 files are retained in their original format. This utility does not currently support importing database files created prior to version 33.
